Punk 57 By Penelope Douglas

Wow Wow Wow!!!! such a powerful book! When I first started reading this, I seriously could not stand either one of these main characters. I even disliked the side characters in this book. That never happens to me. The hatred grew for these characters, but I literally could not put this book down! I knew there had to be something behind this book and I wanted to find out what it was.

Ryen and Misha have been penpals since 5th grade. They have written to each other numerous times (sometimes even 3 times a week!) throughout those 7 years. They became super close and started to rely on each other although they had never met. These two only lived 30 minutes from each other and chose to not meet so that they would not ruin the bond that they share.

I just felt bad for Ryen's character. She had been wanting to fit in ever since she was young and went about it the wrong way. She was mean and just a bully. There were times as I was reading this story and just flat out called her a b*tch. Like who does some of these things and who acts like this!?

Misha was on a mission. He wanted to find out more about his mom and to find a family hair loom. (I'm not spoiling any of this!)

The side characters in this story, OMG i could not stand them! Trey and Lyla, like how could you want to be friends with them!? I didn't get it! The only character I could stand was Ten.

Misha and Ryen meet in a weird way, they just happened to be at the same place, same time. Instantly Misha could not stand Ryen, yet he could not stay away from her. The push and pull between these two made me keep turning the pages, i could not get enough. The tension between them was insane. There was so much build up in this story i wanted to bust.

Meanwhile who is writing the graffiti on the walls at school?

This book, oh my gosh this book. It had me captivated from the beginning. It had me angry, sad (Manny Cortez! the poor kid), happy, it made me laugh, it made me cry. I feel like this is a book that will give me a book hangover.

Mr. Wrong Number By Lynn Painter

Rom Coms are my jam! I love how easy they are to read, and I love watching the characters fall in love. This book was just one of those books where I laughed out loud so many times that I could not put the book down. I wanted to find out more and I wanted to see what was going to happen.

Olivia receives a mysterious text from a wrong number one day and immediately builds a bond with this person. She tells him a lot about her and somethings are pretty intimate. This guy is her go to when she needs cheering up.

I can relate to Olivia's character so well! She is a klutzy, accident prone free spirit and I love it! She LIVES in the moment. Colin is business like and type A personality so of course they are total opposites and are drawn to each other. Oh and did I mention that Colin is also best friend's with Olivia's brother? So they have known each other for most of their lives. The banter between Olivia and Colin is so infectious and it makes to want to keep reading so you see what happens next.

As Olivia and Colin's friendship turns into more, there is a secret that Olivia discovers that crashes down on everything that they have built. I don't want to spoil it, so you'll have to read the book to find out what happens!

It Starts With Us By Colleen Hoover

This is the happy ending I needed in my life. Colleen Hoover put at the beginning of this book that she did not think she would ever write a sequel to It Ends With Us, but we all needed it!! We needed to see what happens next for Lily and Atlas.

Lily proves that she is one strong woman and just so empowering! Man, the things that she had to put up with after her and Ryle divorced was insane. I'm glad that Colleen Hoover wrote how Ryle was still controlling even after they divorced. It shows how truly hard it is to leave an abusive relationship. Lily had many struggles to overcome, but in the end she had to do what was right for her daughter.

I was so glad to see that we were going to hear from Atlas's point of view. We knew how much of a sweetheart he was, but to actually hear his thoughts, he is not only sweet, but he has the patience of a saint. He was always looking out for Lily and her best interest. As Lily would put it, "Considerate Atlas".

There are some new characters that we brought into the book and that made the book more interesting. To hear from Atlas's family members (I don't want to spoil it!) and to hear how he grew up, it made you wonder how did he become such an amazing human?

Man Ryle turned into such a d*ck! In my review for It Ends With Us I wrote how I felt sorry for him for what he endured in his childhood. But dang! He did nothing to help himself at all! Still controlling as ever! There were actual parts in the book when he would show up and my anxiety would reach it's peak! The conversation that went down between him and Atlas proved my point of how much Atlas loves Lily.

"I'm convinced you're the only man on the planet who could get punched and then offer the aggressor advice."

So the character of Josh, I'm not going to write too much because I don't want to spoil it. But what a twist! All i'm going to say is, "I'll just draw a baby seedling." I lost it after that.

The last thing I want to touch on is just how amazing people Allysa and Marshall are. They stood by Lily through it all. I mean c'mon they were in such a tough spot, but they held their ground to what was right in the end.

All in all, if you loved It Ends With Us and you need more Lily and Atlas, this is the book to read!!! It was such a great book with all the feels.

"I'm exactly where I belong, being loved by Atlas Corrigan."

Love on the Brain By Ali Hazelwood

I'm going to start out by saying that I do not know much about science except for what I have learned in school, and even then I don't remember too much of what I learned. Ali Hazelwood did such a good job with this story! It was easy to fall in love with the characters. I found myself sitting down for just a half hour reading the book and the pages were just turning away! If you love The Love Hypotheses than you will love this one! I love how Ali Hazelwood used her knowledge of science and added it into these books. It was such a unique thing to do.

Enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes. I just love to read about the back stories of the characters and see how they go from despising each other to falling madly in love with one another.

Bee is such a great character. I love her sense of humor and her quirkiness and she loves cats!

"I call them my Quasimotoes" this sentenced literally made me laugh out loud. This was just one of the several funny things that Bee said.

Bee is a huge fan of Marie Curie and talks a lot about her throughout the book. Which is fine with me because I do not know too much about Marie and it was interesting to learn some facts about her. From the very beginning I was rooting Bee on with her new job. She made me excited about science and this new project that she would be working on.

I liked Levi from the start. I know that Bee kept saying that Levi hated her, but it was pretty clear from the beginning that he did not. He did some pretty sweet things for Bee to show that he cared for her including; telling their boss that she was the best in her field, or saving her when she got locked inside a cemetery. (You'll have to read the book to find out how that happened!)

"If tomorrow you see Annie and Tim and feel...like you felt today. Just take my hand ok?"

These two were brought on by NASA to collaborate on a project together. I was fully invested in their project and rooting them on the entire time. I could not wait to see how it turned out. But I think I was a little more invested in their love story and could not wait to see how they finally fell in love. Bee's past had her hesitant to fall in love. She was scared. She just could not do it.

"Bee. You want to belong. You want someone who won't let go. I'm it. I didn't let go of you for years, and I didn't even have you. But you need to let me."    *Swoon*

At the very end of this book there is a twist that you would never expect. I was like WOW! I cannot believe it. But your going to have to read the book for yourself in order to find out!

It Ends With Us By Colleen Hoover

I have to admit, this is the 3rd time I have read this book. There are so many mixed reviews out there. I have to say though, this is one of my favorite books. As I began to read this book for the 3rd time, I found so many red flags that I did not see the first two times that I read it. Now that could be because I decided to tab and annotate this time around. I feel that this is one of those books that EVERYONE should read.

"15 seconds. That's all it takes to completely change everything about a person".

Ryle broke my heart into a million pieces. This guy has so many demons following a traumatic event that took place in his childhood. Years of therapy do not seems to help his anger and black out issues. You can honestly see deep down he is a good person. But like I said he has these demons that cause him to have the disturbing behavior. I can see exactly why he tells Lily he does not want to be in a relationship or to have children.

I Just love Lily's character. She is a very strong woman who also has overcome a past trauma. You can see that she tries hard to not compare her relationship with Ryle to the one her parents had. But let's face it, they were the same. This girl is tough and stands her ground a few times throughout this book.

Atlas (swoon) Lily's first love. Lily helps him when he was at his worst. He had a rough childhood, but was determined to make his life better. Atlas in return helps Lily when her life falls apart. He was always the one that Lily could count on. These two belong together (and i cannot wait to see what happens next!!! It Starts With Us comes out October 18!)

"In the future...if by some miracle you ever find yourself in the position to fall in love again...fall in love with me."    💓💓💓

Allysa and Marshall are just the BEST. I swear I want to be their friends, thats just how awesome they are! It's wonderful how they are there for both Lily and Ryle during the difficult times in their relationship.

Warning: This book will emotionally destroy you. Like I said I have read this 3 times and I was still ugly crying by the time the book was over. You just can feel the pain of the characters. But there are a ton of parts in this book that you will just laugh out loud. Then there are the parts where you sit there are are just like "AWWWW!!"😍 Give this book a chance and I promise you won't regret it!

"It stops here. With me and you. It ends with us."
